If you know me, you know I’ve preached for years that personal trainers overrate the importance of their looks and body fat (or lack thereof) when it comes to getting results for clients.

The “role model” and “walk the talk” ‘talk’ is not supported by scientific evidence. The fact is, research shows prospects are more likely to be intimidated and put off by ripped personal trainers because they see that type of body as unattainable.
