One of my favorite core training exercises is the 3-Legged Table. It combines two of the safest and most effective core training exercises available – the Plank and the Birddog.
I typically ask my personal training clients to hold each position for a count of 2-4, and make 2-4 laps.
As with any core stabilization exercise, once you lose your form, the exercise is over. Trying to "tough it out" only defeats the purpose.
