Interview with Stemulite co-inventor, Dr. Robert Shorr

Interviewer: For women, especially women who are trying to maintain a fit body, where we’re concerned that taking supplements that enhance the exercise effects and all would sacrifice some tissue in the breast tissue. Most women want to maintain breast tissue while getting rid of belly fat, on minimum, hip fat, the adipose fat that is in the lower extremities. The Mexican Yam has a natural estrogenic in it. Can you speak to that a bit?

Dr. Shorr: Yes. One of the things that is often debated is the differences between men and women and there are some who will say that there really aren’t any. Well, having been married for 33 years I can assure you that there are and they are very significant. And even in the most rigid chauvinistic of societies where a man may be considered the head of the household we can be guaranteed that the woman is the neck. And it is the neck that turns the head.

A woman who is seeking to optimize her health and perhaps her appearance, one of the things that we need to consider in that type of situation is that not all fat is created equal. As a matter of fact, where fat will go is also something that is hormonally controlled and the differences between male hormones and female hormones are very well known, even beyond the scientific world.

What we look to do is to establish the appropriate balance so that where fat tissue is to be desired and is considered part of a woman’s attractive appearance, we would want to maintain if so desired, and where we would want to focus our exercise efforts as well as the effect of Stemulite would be on those areas where we’re all interested in losing weight or unwanted fat.

And for most of us, men and women, that tends to be belly fat.

The beer belly that one has associated with age is not always associated with beer is something that occurs and needs to be worked at.

The ability to actually discriminate through a combination of exercise and nutrition which areas of the body and what type of fat will be affected is a tremendous advance in nutritional medicine. Up until recently a person going to a nutritional or a weight loss clinic would receive a lecture about weight loss being no more than more calories used than calories taken in.

And while at the end of the day that is true, the nature of nutrition, the nature of the hormones and how they’re effected and the nutritional balance that ultimately occurs within a person’s body will dictate where that fat will be lost from. And that’s very important, even for someone like me who gained a little bit more weight after marriage than I had thought I would and in my own case using nutritional supplement products I’ve actually been able to lose 50 pounds without painful dieting.
