Stemulite Ingredients: Beta Glucans

by Stephen Holt, Stemulite Fitness Pro

In my adventures spreading the Stemulite Truth on the forums, I’ve noticed a few negative people loudly stating that Stemulite must be a scam because it claims to do so much.

The truth about Stemulite is that when you combine ingredients each carefully chosen to be the best available at:

- getting more energy out of your mitochondria
- scavenging free radicals
- stimulating your immune system
- recruiting your stem cells to repair and replace any damaged cells in your body (that’s the “magic” of )
- decreasing inflamation
- rest and sleep enhancers, and
- Indium, the future superstar supplement,

you end up making so many positive claims that it may seem like a scam.

Let’s take a look at one of the ingredients in Stemulite, Beta glucans.

?-Glucans (or beta-glucans) are both soluble and insoluble natural gum sugars occurring in mushrooms, barley, oats and to a lesser degree in rye and wheat. They are thought to have extensive use or potential in many medical and human nutritional applications.

The beta glucan used in Stemulite™ is a 1, 3-1, 6-beta glucan derived from edible mushrooms.

Beta 1, 3-D glucans seem to make the immune system work better without becoming overactive. They accomplish this by activating phagocytes, immune system cells that trap and destroy foreign substances in our bodies such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

In addition to enhancing the activity of phagocytes, beta-1,3 glucans also reportedly lower elevated levels of LDL cholesterol, aid in wound healing, and help prevent infections.

In Japan, mushroom-derived extracts rich in beta-glucans have been used for over 20 years in intravenous forms and are approved for use as adjuncts to chemotherapy.

There is phase III trial in the U.S. using beta-glucans with other cancer drugs. (No forms of beta-glucans have been approved by the FDA to treat cancer, however.)

Since beta-glucan activates complement in the immune system it can be used as a recruiter and mobilizer of stem cells from the bone marrow. These progenitor cells have the unique ability to differentiate into any cellular tissue in the body.

When beta-glucan activates the body’s complement system such as CR3 receptors on stem cells, they are up-regulated to bind with certain growth factors released by injured tissue.

These factors act as powerful signals to recruit somnambulant progenitor stem cells in your body to mobilize and migrate to certain disease or injured tissues in order to repair (and in the case of stem cells) or replenish the injure or dysfunctional cell population.

Once stem cells become resident of a tissue system (such as a muscle group) or organ they quickly multiply and replace old tissue with new juvenile cells which are able to mature in a matter of hours or days into the same tissue type that was earlier dysfunctional.

In the case of strength training, the stem cells are recruited in great numbers to mobilize in muscle systems replacing fat and adding brand new muscle.

Beta 1, 3-D glucan is considered GRAS (”Generally Recognized As Safe”) by the FDA.

Stephan:

What would help your case immeasurably is to have a few third party users of Stemulite post what they have experienced. Presently, there is a void of this kind of testimonial and those investigating Stemulite only read negative posts from more who have not used the product. Kind of a self-perpetuating condition until a few independent users begin posting results. Company sponsored testimonials go just so far.

Hi, John -
(I’ll ignore your misspelling of my name :-)

I’m with you! I’m a mere consultant, though, so I don’t have any pull outside of the duties outlined in my contract.

I’ve brought this up several times. The issue seems to be that it takes time and money to collect the unsolicited testimonials. We collected some at the very beginning, but then we got bogged down in actually moving product.

I’ll see what I can do. Thanks for your comment. - Stephen
