Here are my responses to the first few comments about the Stemulite study I’ve been asked to lead:
“Sounds too good to be true”
Fine. I just print the truth. Whether you choose to believe it, that’s your choice.
If you need more information, enter “Stemulite” in the search box and find all the posts I’ve made about Stemulite.
Then go to Google for more info about “Metabolic Research, Inc.” (a publicly held company, by the way), “Dr. David Summers” and “Endothil” (the now-relatively-wimpy precursor of Stemulite).
Here’s the deal:
Metabolic Research, Inc. hired me as a consultant. Do the research I mentioned above or simply check the hyperlinks in this sentence and you’ll see that we’ve already done a study with Dr. Summers’ Fitness Formula for Men and a small study on Define Fitness Formula with just ten women.
Part of my job is to lead a larger study on the effects of Define Fitness Formula for Women.
“I’m interested. What’s involved? What is in the product?”
That graphic you see is what’s on the bottle. I’ll be writing articles on each of the ingredients and how they’ll benefit you. Stay tuned.
Frankly, I haven’t settled on all the details yet. What I do know is:
- The study lasts four weeks
- You must take the daytime formula and the nighttime formula on the days that you exercise.
- You must fill out a weekly journal and comment about your energy level, how you feel during exercise, how well you recover from exercise, your general feeling of well-being, sleep patterns, libido (please spare us the details), etc.
- You must have someone measure your body comp at the beginning of the study, at the end of the second week, and again at the end of the study.
Official Personal Training Protocol says it must be the same person preferably at the same time of day.
“And i should believe this why?”
C’mon, Anonymous. Why even waste my time posting this “comment”?
And I should listen to someone who can’t even claim their comment with a real name why?
“i don’t wanna buy anything, i want FREE info *rolls eyes*”
I made it pretty clear I’m just asking for shipping & handling. That makes the actual product (sold for $60) FREE. (I love my subscribers but there’s no way I’m picking up the shipping, too!)
I’ll get to the meatier questions tomorrow.

Hi Stephen, This sounds like something I would like to do if I qualify. I am not a personal trainer nor is my body fit at this time but I am taking a course and my goal by the end of the year is to be fit and to become a Personal Fitness Trainer. I am making changes daily to improve my wellness in all areas of my life, thankfully I have never gone way over board. Would you please email me the info to be part of your study? I am 45 and within months I will be able to add ‘fit’ to the 45.
Thanks and God bless! Laura
Hi, Laura -
If there’s anything I can do to help you with either the “fit” or “Personal Fitness Trainer” part, just let me know.
God bless you, too!

Hi Stephen,
That is where a lot of people are right now that I will help someday soon!
Your site has helped me a lot already. I have been looking at several links on your site. I have signed up to Fitsync, (Laura777) Please feel free to read my profile. It will tell you more about me and my fitness/sport history. Anyway, I hopefully am making wise exercise choices there to get my beginner unfit body back in shape. It has been too many years since I have been what I would consider fit. Do you believe this would be a good place for me and I would do good starting here at the beginner level? Smiling, ya know I have never been a beginner in fitness before but LOL I am not sure I can even do the beginning level right now! but that is where I am.
I have literally just started the online Personal Fitness course. My goal is to finish in 6-8 months. I am in Section 1-Physical Activity, Fitness and Wellnmess, in the text book Concepts of Fitness and Wellness with Laboratories, Vol. One by Charles B. Corbin and Ruth Lindsey -Published by the McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. I pray this will give me a solid foundation to build on. I hope to do further studies into Sports Injury and/or Senior Fitness.
But first things first!
Stephen I recently read a quote that I really liked “You can not teach a man something which he thinks he already knows”. It hit home w/me because I am afraid I have be taught wrong information. So PLEASE do not hesitate to correct me in anything “I think” I may know!
Laura
Good Morning,
I have a quick ? for you. Actually I have two. 1. Is the ACE certification the best to have in this field. There are SO many!
2. Are there suppilments I need to be taking as I am training and eat a better diet now? I am taking a complete multi-vitamen along with Glucosamine HCI (1500 mg)
Any comments or suggestions???
Hope you had a great V-day yesterday.
Thnks & blessings,
Laura
Hi, Laura -
My wife says only she and my mother are allowed to wish me a happy valentine’s day.
ACE is widely recognized. NSCA-CPT is generally considered more respected. NASM is a little less recognized than ACE and NSCA, but highly respected.
I don’t know of any potential employer who would reject you for having either of those three although some would ask you to get NSCA or NASM if you started with just the ACE certification.
NSCA-CSCS is considered the most respected certification. Several national magazines literally won’t even talk to you if you’re not CSCS.
2) You know I’m biased. Of course I’m going to mention Prograde supplements and Dr. Summers’ Fitness Formula for Men Powered by Stemulite
Obiviously, you’d take Define Fitness Formula for Women Powered by Stemulite
I know a couple of the people who made negative comments above won’t believe this, but these (and Sam’s Club EPA) are the only supplements I’ve taken in years.
Hey Stephen your wife is RIGHT! I know no women better wish my hubby a happy valentines day! But I wouldnt mind if she wanted to ask if they HAD a good V-Day. And he had better say “Yes we had the best!”
I think youre a nice guy and I truely hoped you had a great Valentines Day, that all.
Thank you very much for your info on the certifications. It sounds like the NSCA is the way to go. I will likely go towards them or/and ACE. Thanks!
I had a problem with the links to Prograde supplements and Define Fitness Formula for Women Powered by Stemulite. When I tried the link for Prograde Supplements it took me to a search engine page that said “Sorry ‘www.stephenholtfitness.getprograde.com onclick=’ does not exist or is not available.
And then when I clicked the link for the Define Fitness Formula for Women Powered by Stemulite I only got a page the said “The page cannot be displayed”. Where else can I find these? I will google them and see what come up. What is your opinion on “Fish Oil”? Thanks so much for helping here on your site!
Blessings again, Laura
Hi, Laura -
Sorry, somehow Wordpress rolled all the links together.
Dr. Summers’ Fitness Formula for Men Powered by Stemulite
Obviously, you’d take Define Fitness Formula for Women Powered by Stemulite
The link to my Prograde store is http://www.stephenholtfitness.getprograde.com
Sorry about the logistical mess. – Stephen
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the links. They worked but before I received your links I googled both items and found other sites that had the products. I then figured you must have a site so I waited until I hear back from you.. I would much rather buy from your site than give the purchase to someone else. I would really like 2 of the prducts from Prograde and also the stemulite for women … I would like all of it actually but unfortunately the cost is too much for us right now, even with the package deal. For now I will have to settle for a less expensive & lower quality brand. Stephen, when God slips some extra funds our way I will order what I can from your site. I placed the links in my favorites so I can find them with no problems!
Be Blessed, ~Laura
Very interesting but it seems a little to good to be true. Are there any side effects associated with Stemulite use?
Hi, Greg -
One of the ingredients in Stemulite is SerraPeptase, a supplement widely used throughout Europe and Japan. Research has at least implicated SerraPeptase in two cases (out of literally millions of doses) of pneumonia-like symptoms.
The ingredients in Stemulite are each considered GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA.
- Stephen
I agree, very interesting. Were used to seeing multivitamins and energy drinks but this one takes it to the next level. Providing I’m not allergic to any of those ingredients I’m willing to try something new.
