A double-blind, randomized clinical trial reported in a 2003 issue of Alternative Medicine Review evaluated the effectiveness of Neptune Krill Oil for management of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS).
Researchers in this study concluded genuine Neptune krill oil:
1) Significantly reduced the normal physical and emotional symptoms of PMS*
2) Was significantly more effective for the management of normal PMS symptoms than Omega-3 fish oil.*
Neptune Krill Oil has been found to be a much higher quality Essential Fatty Acid than the fish oils you’ll typically find in your local nutrition store.
In fact, studies have shown Neptune Krill Oil has over 47 times the antioxidant power of fish oil and 300 times the antioxidant power of Vitamin A & E.
Why are Essential Fatty Acids so important?
EFA’s are critical to health and metabolism, but they can’t be manufactured in the body.
The only way to to get this literally “essential” nutrient through your diet.
The most important type of essential fatty acid is Omega 3 because it encourages the production of inflammation fighting chemicals which help provide relief of PMS symptoms.*
But it’s difficult to get enough Omega 3 in the right proportions. The typical Western diet contains too much Omega 6 fatty acids and not enough Omega 3.
And too much Omega 6 promotes the production of inflammation causing chemicals in the body.
Not only can the proper combination of antioxidants, Neptune Krill and Omega 3 fatty acids relieve PMS, it may also:
- Improve your concentration and memory
- Protect your cell membranes
- Encourage healthy nervous system function
- Improve your cholesterol
- Support your immune system
- Keep your heart healthy, and
- Fight the damaging effects of aging
